I know this is 4 years old, but I just wanted to say that we have a camper van and we use it like a backpacking van. We drive to see places during the day and then we stop for the night in a new place and move on the next day.

New to your channel just stumble upon your video trying to plan a trip out west this is our third season RVing and it’s time to head out west from the East Coast Tennessee, North Carolina Maine Florida Keys Virginia upstate New York all been great the branch West for fortunate enough to have eight weeks vacation I’ve been covering a lot of territory want to take 3 weeks to go out west possibly the Southwest
LOL “Michigan doesn’t have a National Park”? You drove by Sleeping Bear National Park, the best campground we’ve ever seen. West of Traverse City on Lake Michigan.

You all have a great conversational style in this video and made us feel like you were just talking to us like friends. Those were some great tips. We haven't gotten to go out west yet, but the smokies are close enough that we've been planning to go as soon as we get our slideout fixed.
As a Michigander thank you for the inclusion. Our only national park is Isle Royal and is only accessible by boat or airplane. However, Michigan is full of state parks which have great facilities for RVs, but keep in mind that state forest campgrounds are more rustic…the forest word makes all the difference lol
Hey! Thanks for the tips! Loved the video! I have a question for you all! My wife and I are driving through Monument Valley this summer. We aren’t staying the night or have any accommodations, but is there a place to disconnect our travel trailer to do the scenic drive?
The Grand Canyon is Not of the seven wonders of the world 😂😂😂 come on dude get your facts straight , ,,,, this are the SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLS : The Colosseum in Italy, Petra in Jordan, Chichén Itzá in Mexico, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, Machu Picchu in Peru, Taj Mahal in India and The Great Wall of China.
We did 2,300 miles around Texas and 23 state parks in 8 days. It is doable….obviously some were just day use and drive throughs but it's the 100th anniversary of Texas State Parks so we are trying to visit as many as we can this year.
I thought I was just crazy wanting to buy a camper and leave Louisiana and travel all the way to Zion and do the grand Circle and back but I’m glad I found your channel. Thank you for all this information really appreciate it.
Shoutout to Kentucky State Parks! We did a lot of long-weekend trips when we were working. I kept a map with a 300 mile radius circle with the center on our home in Michigan. As you have said Michigan has great state parks and beach towns. Kentucky has hills, rock climbing, rafting and caves! Carter Caves and Cumberland Falls are two favorites.
i'm a little late to comment (great video BTW) but there is a national park in Michigan. it's Isle Royale National Park but it's very remote. you have to take a boat to get to it but looks like a great place.
You guys are awesome. I have a good one for you and maybe the same outcome just longer. I'm currently deployed and while deployed my wife and I have bought a beautiful tow behind for our family of 5. Now long story short when I return home I will have 30 days of leave, our goal is to travel to the top national parks in the US. We would start in Maine as a reference. Where are your top ten or less if you could do it in a month?
Being an older individual with a heart condition, I am considering e-bikes to allow my wife and me to "get away from the road" and see some of the sights not visible from the road. Do you have any recommendations for "e-bike friendly" trips?
