I just love how Carrie glosses over some of your jokes😂😂 thanks for this recap. I’m rearranging my wish list now. Cappadocia and Istanbul are ranking really high after seeing this.

I love Palermo. I like climbing La Rocca, but otherwise I'd skip touristy Cefalu. Each to his or her own!

I agree with you about Munich, it's good to see but it's a One and Done for me. Austria on the other hand is gorgeous and we'd go back. We also went to Puglia and we're saving that for a month or longer, settle in trip soon.

Istanbul is amazing, as much as I have traveled & seen, it is the most exotic destination & so much abundance. I stayed there in 2019 for 2 weeks on a solo travel. I could have stayed there much longer, I love it ❤

Carrie must be your guide when traveling.
I agree with you on Turkey.
I started going decades ago and learned some Turkish.
Have not been to the other areas, but will go.

The way you two specify areas and neighborhoods is so helpful. I’m always seeking the “best” neighborhoods within a huge city. Consideration for the day to day living is always important. Thanks, just got back from Bangkok in January, humidity deluxe but lovely people and felt so safe.

I loved this video very much. As Bob said it would help if you add the time of year and which year you went to these great places. I wanted to know where you stayed for the one month in Chiang Mai. My wife and I will try to get the same Airbnb if we can. We had been to Chiang Mai about 33 years back. But we were there for just 2 days as we were part of a travel group. We would love to revisit Chiang Mai and stay at least for 2 weeks. Thanks for the lovely videos of these great places.

Great timing. I am in Montenegro atm and am making up my mind between Albania, Tirana and Durres and Istanbul and Antalya, Turkey. I have to agree on the best beer – Czech being my number one. Had a Budvar today :). I also found a great brewery in the heart of Vienna around Xmas time. It is called '1516'. The atmosphere is great. I sat outside as they had the heaters on. Food is very tasty and affordable. Salzburg was on my list but didn't make it. I must visit. I wonder if you considered Budapest. I truly enjoyed the beauty of that shiny town, its bridges and Danube river, as well as the great food and specialty coffees. Great and cheap public transport although their people don't speak English much and aren't that often friendly. It depends. I truly fell in love with this city and Xmas markets etc. I also love Bangkok with its friendly people and great food. I might go back on the way back to Australia. Not a fan of muggy days either. I almost fainted once or twice. I was also there during the rain period. I also forgot to say that I find Munich boring after day 3 and I went three – four times in the past two years. I'd rather go to a Bavarian village or to Alps. Thank you for your great travel insights!

Brian…………You definitely should watch The Sound of Music. Seriously! I watched it for the 1st time when I was 18. The college I was attending had a showing of it. It has been a favorite "classic" ever since. Also, If you haven't seen Fiddler on the Roof, it is another "must see" classic.

I don't quite understand why you said Turkey is under the radar. many people have been going there every year for decades, it feels like everyone and their grandma goes there all the time. it's like saying Italy or Greece are under the radar. maybe Turkey's reputation hasn't reached the US

We are headed on transatlantic mid April to Barcelona on Celebrity's new Ascent in veranda cabin, then flying to Istanbul for 2.5 weeks. I enjoyed your Istanbul videos. We too will take long bus ride from cappadoccia to Antalya… Then a bus from Antalya to the turquise coast and hop on a gulet to cruise 4nts. Can't wait for this 31nt adventure! It'sa $12.6K trip but saved $5284 using points from credit cards and hotel points. Hotel , cruise and airline status all help! You may wish to consider some of those credit card sign up spend bonuses to elevate your accommodations for a short reprieve…it's nice getting turn down service, feather pillows and king beds. 😊

Great video. When you get back to Chang Mai you might find it fun going to the elephant sanctuary and play with the elephants,i enjoyed the one where they don't make them ride you around, instead feed and bathe them. Another excursion is to head towards Chang Rai just to check out all the different temples. There's the black one, white one golden and silver one (in Chang Mai with carvings in the silver walls and ceilings show rare prehistoric animals and flying saucers(w/aliens w/antenna heads, not kidding)) Some of the temples request Small donations. Look into a tree to more remote Pai . Was planning on returning and retire there before covid changed, delayed plans.
What's that chagan?? In Europe? Limiting time?

Any plans for Argentina? Looks like they are going to have some big changes coming soon. Suppose to be very inexpensive when using USD’s.

In Bangkok I was entertained just watching the crazy stuff on the streets. The 1st time I was there I saw an elephant walking down the street. If you need a dentist in Bangkok I recommend the smiles dental clinic. Also in Phuket try the James Bond Island tour.

As always a great breakdown 18:31 I agree Prague was great. I used to make multiple trips from Germany to Prague and Kalvarie to buy Crystal and Porcelain sets to sell to other G.I.s basically paid for my vacations.

I have to rewatch your cost breakdown again.

I have $1500 a month average in mind for S.E.A. and $2700 a month on average for Eastern and Southern Europe. For my wife and I, while our daughter studies in Germany.

Wonder how reasonable our numbers are? 🤔

Interesting I found Viena the most boring city I have ever been to. Beautiful buildings though. Europe has some fantastic places. I spent one month in Paris last October. Not the most affordable but doable at this time of the year. It was so beautiful.
I have traveled extensively in South East Asia and Central and South America. One of my favourite cities is Buenos Aires. Great food! Happy safe travels everyone 😊
